KUMARA NOTES

(Our Own Correspondent.)

Dr Booth, who has been visiting Christchurch, returned to Kumara on Thursday. Mrs Christie of Boundary Road, was removed to the Grey Hospital on Wednesday. Rev. Mr Cocks, who has been appointed to the charge of the Anglican Church at Mount Somers, leaves on Monday to take up his new duties. He will be accompanied by Mrs Cocks.

The danger of children being allowed to throw stones was again demonstrated in the early part of the week, when a glassed-in car passing through the town, had one of the heavy plate windows smashed. Luckily, the occupants of the car escaped injury. The damage to the car is estimated at £5.
