Attention is drawn to our advertising columns, postponing the Chamber of Commerce meeting from September 27 to October 4, at the Secretary’s office, Mackay Street. The Executive Committee of the Girl Guides Association are holding a jumble sale in Hannah’s Buildings, Mawhera Quay, to-morrow, and solicit the support of the public. Home-made cakes, sweets, and home produce will be on sale, also a nice variety of flowers from Christchurch.
Besides the lines already advertised for sale by Harley and Co. Ltd., tomorrow, they will offer a quantity of carpenters’ tools, nearly new, sideboard and bookcase, sewing machine and gent’s bicycle.
