GRAIN AND PRODUCE. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 27. There have been further variations in the potato market. At the weekend, September delivery was quoted at £9 17s Gd f.o.b. si. Yesterday the figure advanced to £lO ss, but to-day, it is back to £lO. Prompts are worth £9 7s Gd. The Waipiata sailed for Wellington with a cargo of 9100 sacks from all southern ports, the Lyttelton proportion being 2300. Space was unavailable for about 1500 sacks, but these will be shipped by the Kawatiri and Wingatui, which will load this week. It Is expected that these two vessels will take about 8000 sacks from southern ports. Potatoes on other boats have been sold at £9 7s 6d.
There is no change to report in other classes of produce.
