SOUTH AUSTRALIA’S GRANT

ADELAIDE, March 24.

The Commission which investigated the disabilities suffered in South Australia, due to Federation, is favourable ’towards the State receiving a special grant. The money, which South Australia is seeking, is threequarters of a million sterling.

CLOUDBURST DAMAGE SYDNEY, March 25.

A Narrandera message states that a cloudburst occurred in the district. Storm waters from the watershed east of the town quickly formed a raging torrent, several chains wide in places.
