SPORTS AT TE KINGA. The annual competitions for the AlcNamara Cup were held yesterday in ideal weather. A large number of spectators witnessed the events, and it was generally voted one of the best yet held here. Praise is due to the Committee, who controlled the events and carried out their duties to the satisfaction of competitors and the general public., namely, Alessrs AlcNamara, S. Herring, D. Aloffitt, AlcCree, Anderson. and Willis.

The winners of the Cup last year were the Ruru team, but on this occasion they were beaten by half a point, the result being: Te Kinga 14g, Ruru 14, Alcana 1-| points. A. E. Watson was declared the winner of a medal donated by E. J. Kiely, of Revington’s Hotel, with 5J> points, J. Maughan being second with 5 points to his credit. 100 Yards.—N. Willis 1, L. Alorressey 2.
