HERO’S DEPENDENTS
GENEROUS RESPONSE TO APPEAL LONDON, November 25. At. the Poplar Coroner’s Court yesterday, Dr. R. L. Guthrie referred to the appeal he made last week on behalf of the widow and family of Arthur Lovell, the Poplar hero, who lost his life in saving a little girl on Armistice Day. Tho Uoronei* said that he had then taken the opportunity of appealing on behalf of the widow and her family of seven, and he was pleased to say that there had beep a very generous response. Ro.ughly, £55.0 had been sent in to him, apart from that which had been raised from other sources, and the widow’s future was now assured. A small committee had been formed, consisting of the Mayor of Poplar, Rev. J. W. Fitkin, himself, and two others, and they would'use the money in the best interest of the widow and family. It was the most generous response to any appeal that he had ever had deca-' sion to make. ’
