OLYMPIC TEAM’S RETURN (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, October 12. A largely-attended dinner was given to-night when a welcome home was extended to the Dominion Olympic representatives. The speakers were Messrs A. D. Bayfield (Chairman of the Olympic Council), the Mayor (Mr. G. A. Troup) and Hon. K. S. Williams. The manager, Mr. H. Amos, declared the tour well worth while. All had done their best, and Morgan had performed wonderfully. BILLIARDS WELLINGTON, October 12. In the billiards 'match Lindrum is--4,489 and McConachy (in play) is 3529. Lindrum made breaks -of. 313, 303, 212, 208, 154, 129; and McConachy 'breaks of 424, 325, 216, 148 and 116. BOWLING. Owing to the adverse weather, the Greymouth Bowling Club has decided to postpone the opening of the season until Wednesday, October 31. GREY TENNIS CLUB i The annual meeting of the Greymouth Lawn Tennis Club was held last evening. Mr. W. R. J. Smythe presided and there was a fair attendance of members. The annual report already published in the “Star” and balance sheet "were read and adopted.

Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows: —President, Mr. G. S. Pratt; Hon. Secretary, Mr. J. K. Griffen; Hon. Treasurer, Mr. F. M. Dennehy; Men’s Committee: Messrs J. P. Forbes, W. R. J. Smythe, O. Randle, J. Riordan; Ladies’ Committee: Mesdames F. B. Lawn, W. Fletcher, A. B. Larsen, C. G. Moss and Miss N. Tennent.

It was resolved to open the season on Saturday, November 3. Dr. H. S. Ray and Messrs H. Haigh and E. S. Lorking were elected members. Five new lady members were proposed, but owing .to the ladies’ membership being full their election was held over pending vacancies. The United Tennis Club wrote intimating that the dates suggested for the West Coast Lawn Tennis Tournament, January 23, 24 and 25, would be suitable. The Greymouth Club concurred.
