' 1 - GREYMOUTH ASSOCIATION. The Greymouth Boxing Association met last evening, there being present: Messrs A. Beban (Chairman), H. Moore, E. Kiely, A. Grogan, C. Chamley, G. Jones, F. Costello, and F. W. Baillie (Secretary). Mr L. McGlashan advised that, owing to pressure of business, he desired to relinquish the position of treasurer, at least temporarily. A vote of appreciation was passed to Mr McGlashan for his past services, and it was decided to appoint Mr Jones treasurer until Mr McGlashan is aple to resume the position. The Chairman reported that a 15-round bout had been arranged for October 20, for a purse of £l5O, between J. Leckie (Dunedin) and Melton (Australia). The preliminary amateur bouts will be: —Cotter (Runanga) v. Jaggers (Christchurch), six rounds; Steel (Greymouth) v. Richardson (Dobson), four rounds; Moffatt (Greymouth) v. Croft (Stillwater), four rounds. The following prices were fixed for the tournament: Ringside 12/6,

L dress circle 7/6, front seats 6/-, back * stalls 3/-. Ladies will be admitted 1 to the dress circle for half price, and children to the stalls for 2/-. i Officials for the tournament were ■ elected as follow: —Referee, Mr A. Costello and N. Jones; official seconds, Messrs D. Mclvor, and S. Gillam; call steward, Mr E. Ashton; round steward, Mr P. Beban. The report on the visit of the West Coast team to the New Zealand amateur championships at Auckland, was presented by the manager, Mi‘ Chamley, and he was accorded a vote of thanks. It was also decided to forward a letter of thanks to the Northern Boxing Union, for the hospitality extended to the West Coast delegates and boxers. A vote of sympathy was passed to Mr S. Groom, with the wish that he would speedily recover from his' present illness. Accounts passed for payment totalled £l2/10/6.
