In the Dunlop amateur road race from Goulbourn to Sydney, the result was: J. Rodgers 1; T. Taunton 2, F. Kerz 3. Time 7hrs 10min 1 3-ssec. The professional road race over Hie same course resulted: Ken Ross 1; R. Lamb 2 ; J. Brooker 3. Time 6hrs 39 min 45secs.

There are five men on the .limit, 55 minutes.

In the amateur event 101 started, and 65 started in. the professional one. A head wind, dust and loose metal on the roads played havoc with the riders, the roadside at Mossvale being dotted with both professionals and amateurs mending their punctures, and motor ears proceeding to Sydney were filled with competitors unable to continue the race.
