WELLINGTON, September 27.

The New Zealand A.A.A., at a special meeting decided to invite the folowing American athletes to tour New Zealand: —John Kuck, the world’s champion shot-putter; Leo. Leomond, distance runner ; and C. Borah, sprinter. The Centres are asked for guarantees. The tour opens in January and will end in March. LATER. In addition to the American athletes, it is stated that Nykoff (sprinter) was mentioned by Krogness, the Council’s representative in the States. The suggested itinerary provides for the opening of the tour at Auckland on June 19. The New Zealand Council finds £4OO towards the expenses. Wellington will be asked for £225. with five meetings; Canterbury, three, '£l3s; Auckland, Wanganui and Otago, two, £9O each.

BILLIARDS.

AUCKLAND, September 27. The scores to-pight, at the conclusion of the fourth day’s play in the billiards match between Lindrum and McConachy were: Lindrum 6002 (in play), McConachy 4218. Lindrum’s best breaks were 278 and 186. MeConachy’s best were 198 and 176. LONDON, September 27. In the billiards match, Smith is 12,632 and Newman 11,160. The best breaks were: Smith 768, 626, 411; Newman 820. RUGBY FOOTBALL. The' following will represent the United Fourth Grade team v.
