XTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Runanga Borough Council will, at a Special’Meeting to be held on MONDAY NIGHT, September 17, 1928, MAKE and LEVY the following RATES for,the period commencing the Ist day of April, 1928, and ending the 31st day of March, 1929: — ( A General Rate, under Section 77 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” of EIGHT PENCE HALFPENNY in the £, on rateable value on the Valuation Roll of all rateable property within the Borough of Runanga, dn the basis of the unimproved value. A Charitable Aid Rate, under Section 41 of “The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909,” of ONE AND ONE-EIGHTH PENCE in the £ on the capital value on the Valuation Roll of all rateable property within the Borough of Runanga, such, rate being required to meet the contributions payable by the Runanga Borough Council to the Grey Hospital Board. A Drainage Rate, under Section 99 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” of THREE-EIGHTHS PENCE in the £ on the capital value on the Valuation Roll of the Borough of Runanga.

A Lighting Rate, under Section S 3 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” of ONE HALF-PENNY in the £ on the capital value on the Valuation Roll of the Borough of Runanga. The above rates will be payable in ONE SUM at the Town Clerk’s Office, Carroll Street, Runanga, on the Ist day of October, 1928. j The Valuation Roll for the above Borough, also the Annual Estimates, are now OPEN FOR INSPECTION at the Town Clerk’s Office during office hours.
