NEGLIGENT MOTORISTS.
SYDNEY, August 24.
Owing to the prevalence of motor accidents, many of which are due to negligent driving, the State Cabinet is considering an amendment of the Traffic Act providing for a fine of £lOO for drunken or careless drivers, and also empowering Magistrates to impose six months’ gaol without the option.
