TASMANIAN FIRE. HOBART, June 26/
A large fruit pulping factory and general store in the Huon district was destroyed by fire. The damage was £20,000.
SHIPPING SETTLEMENT. SYDNEY, June 25 The picking up of crews for all the idle ships has begun. At Melbourne to-day the whole waterfront was busy when the crews for five ships were picked up without trouble, the cooks making no reference to the roster system.
