Mrs. Smith, who has improved, stated that her husband was shot dead on Friday afternoon, the employee stating he had fallen from the tractor and was killed. She wanted to rush to the spot, when the same employee sympathetically persuaded her to remain in the house. Immediately, he punched her face and body unmercifully and secured her with ropes to abed post and assaulted her, and then attacked other members of the family. The baby is recovering. The six years old girl is still in a critical condition.
