SHIPPING NOTES. • The Veronica will be thrown open to the public from 3 to 6 p.m. to-day and to-morrow. Children will not be permitted on board unless in charge of adults. The Pooita will sail to-morrow with a cargo of coal and timber for Miramar and Wellington.’ The Kaimai' is due this afternoon from Wellington. Oh arrival, she loads coal, timber and general cargo for Miramar and Wellington. The Kaiapoi left Wcllingtoh yesterday for Greymouth direct. On arrival she will load coal for Auckland. The* Putiki leaves Wellington to-day for Greymouth. On arrival, she loads coal for Gisborne. The Kaituna is due on Friday from Auckland. She y will. load coal for Napier and Wellington. The Pooita is due back from Wellington on Friday to load coal for return. • The Kaitangata is due next Saturday from Auckland. The Gabriella sailed- this morning for Sydney with a cargo of timber. The Ihumata is due from Wanganui on March 12. She will load timber for Melbourne and Sydney. .

The Orepuki arrived this morning from Wellington via way ports witli general cargo. After discharge she loads coal for Nelson and Wanganui. The Kaitoa left Onehunga on Thursday for Nelson and the Coast with general cargo. - 1 '

The Titoki is loading coabfor Onakaka and sails to-clay. The auxiliary schooner Piri arrived, this morning from Westport With, a part cargo of explosives. ■
