AUSTRALIAN SELECTIONS. (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.) SYDNEY, February 24. The Australian Olympic Federation has definitely chosen the following team of ten to represent Australia in the Olympic games. Sculling: H. R. Pearce. Boxing: A. E. Ford, bantlam and feather. Wrestling: T. F. Bolger, lightweight. Swimming: A. Charlton, 400 and 1500 metres, free style; T. Boast, backstroke. Miss E. Davey, 400 metres style. Athletics: J. Carlton, 100 and 200 metres; C. Stuart 400 and 800 metres; W. Whyte 800 and 1500 metres; J. R. Hyde 5000 and 10,000 metres. It also recommended that the following be sent in the order named, as funds come in. Swimming, Miss B. Mealing; wrestling, T. H. Morris; cycling, J. Standen, D. Gray; athletics, E. M. Davidson; women’s sprints, Miss E. Robinson; swimming, R. Grier and E. W. Jones. The last-named two names were added- contingent upon it being decided to send a swimming team. Altogether, twenty-one, recommended by the sub-committee, came up fox 1 review, and it is likely that all will be sent, if the funds for which the Federation is starting a drive, are all available. Les Duff, the wellknown sportsman was chosen as manager of the team.
