COTTON ON FIRE
NEARLY £lOO,OOO DAMAGE, (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) DELHI, January 12. There has been a serious epidemic of fires in Bombay cotton mills and stores. The total damage is £45,000. By a fire in the cotton cargo of the Peninsular Company’s vessel, the Kidderpore, bound to Yokohama, lying in the docks, a thousand bales were destroyed. The damage is estimated at £50,000.
