AUCKLAND, November 28. made a raid on undesirables at the Takapuna Racecourse on Saturday, and as a result six men appeared at the Police Court to-day. Four of them were charged with being idle and disorderly persons who habitually consorted with reputed thieves, and two others, who frequented the vicinity of the course with felonious intent.

Victor Henry Thomas, caught in the act of putting his hand in another man’s pocket ,was setnenced, to three months’ imprisonment. Trevor Leonard Richard Cunningham, described as a tip-top tradesman, on a charge of- frequenting Victoria Road, with felonous intent, was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence within two years. Other cases were adjourned.
