Following the riot in the Brunswick theatre, Catholic and Irish organisations waited on the Chief Secretary, and urged that the film objected to be withdrawn from all Victorian theatres, as screening was likely to cause serious trouble. • The Chief Secretary promised to instruct the theatre managements to withdraw the film.

N.S.W. ASSEMBLY SYDNEY, Nov. 25.

In the Assembly Mr. Bavin stated that up to date £s77,ooo’had been collected under the Family Endowment Act, and only £75,000 paid. Furtherclaims would be paid as they were investigated.
