<Per Pren Aaaociation.) TRAWLING “CATCH.” BLENHEIM, November 25. / While trawling off Wairau bar yesterday,. a party of fishermen found in their net a boot with the remains of a huihan foot in it. This discovery, it is believed, will throw some light upon the disappearance from his ■ launch some months ago of a young fisherman, Roy Eyles. The boot is. being brought to Blenheim for Identification purposes. ' , LIFT WELL FATALITY. WELLINGTON, November 25. George Shephard, a carpenter, aged 31, of 22 Chamberlain Street, Karori, died in the Public Hospital this afternoon from a fractured skull received as the result of being knockeddown . a lift well during building operations in the ,T. and G. building, at the corner of Grey Street and Lambtqn Qudy, about 11.40' a.m. CHINESE IMPRISONED. WELLINGTON, November 26. A Chinese, Lum On, was sentenced by Mr Page, S.M., to two months’ imprisonment for overstaying the period under a temporary permit to visit the Dominion. The Collector of Customs said there i was evidently an organised system to defy the law. Mr Page refused a request for a fine instead-of imprisonment. The man will be deported at the end of the term.
