At the Police Court, Donald William Stronach, sheep farmer, was lined £lO for being in a state of intoxication while in charge of a motor .car. His license was also cancelled and he was prohibited from driving- for two years. It was shown that defendant knocked a man down. FIRE COINCIDENCE AUCKLAND, Sept. 12. When the City Brigade had extinguished a fire oh Sunday afternoon at the premises of J. MacKeny, saddler, corner of Wyndham and Albert Streets, it was found to have commenced in three distinct places. The owner states that these were probably due to spontaneous combustion.
