HEENEY v. UZCUDUN. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. NEW YORK, September 8. The New Zealand boxer Tom Heeney battled for fifteen plucky rounds to a draw with Paolino Uzcudun. The fight was at the Madison Square .Gardens, New York. Paolino forced the fighting throughout. He was several times on the verge of delivering a knockout, but Heenev displayed an effective defence. The New Zealander rallied in the later rounds, and he managed to gam sufficient points to warrant a verdict of a draw. GREYMOUTH ASSOCIATION. /it a meeting of the Greymouth Association, held last evening, it was decided to hold an amateur tournament on Saturday, October 22. for all classes, and open to boxers from all provinces in New Zealand. Mr Kim Williams presented Ins report on the visit of the West Coast team to the New Zealand amateui championships at Invercargill, and it was approved.
