Attention is drawn to the advertisement appearing in this issue that the combined road and railway bridge on the Ngahere-Blackball Line will be open to all traffic as from August 1, 1927. The Railway Department advertises in this issue the dates on which excursion tickets will be issued to Christchurch in connection with the Grand National Races, Christchurch Winter Show and Exhibition of primary and secondary industries. A meeting of ladies willing to form a committee to assist the Star Football Club in-their Annual Ball, will be held on Monday afternoon in the Star Hall at 3 o’clock. A grocery traveller is wanted for the West Coast. Particulars from advertisement. Three draught horses are offered for sale. Tenders are invited for alterations and additions to the Medical Superintendent’s cottage at the Grey Hospital.
