WELLINGTON INQUESTS (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, July 20. Inquests were held to-day on John Henry Mickle, wharf labourer, aged 42, and Michael Delaney, a labourer, aged 37, who were both found last Sunday floating in the harbour. A verdict was returned of found drowned, no evidence being available as to how they got in the -water. An inquest Was also held on Walter Valentine Keay, machinist, aged 37, of 126 Elizabeth Street, who died of a fractured skull, the result of falling while trying to avoid an approaching motor car on Saturday night. A ver diet was returned of accidental death, with no blame to the driver of the motor car, whose statement that his car did not strike the deceased, was accepted. YOUNG MAITDROWNED. DUNEDIN, July 21. Robert Duncan O’Hara, 20, was accidentally drowned in the Molyneux River at Paretai. The body is not yet (recovered. DROWNED IN TANK. CHRISTCHURCH, July 20. William Rennie, single, was found drowned this afternoon in one of the Lyttelton Borough Council’s receiving tanks connected with Heathcote Valley water supply. When found, the body had been in the water only a few hours. Rennie had been employed by the Borough for some years, residing near the scene of the drowning. Arrangements have been made to empty and clean the tank immediately. TROLLEY TRAGEDY. INVERCARGILL, July 20. Joseph Shepherd, traffic inspector, in the employ of the N.Z. Railways, met with a tragic fate at 7 o’clock last evening, when returning to Invercargill on a motor trolley. For some unaccountable reason, the trolley left the rails on the bridge over the Waropai stream, catapulting Shepherd into the water. Two boys heard the splash, and believe that they saw a body being carried down stream, but, so far, a search by the police and railways officers has been fruitless.
