Rain AT OTHER CENTRES Wanganui: N.E. light breeze, blue sky, tides good, sea moderate, rain 6 pts.; Wellington: N.W. light breeze, cloudy; Westport: Light easterly wind, overcast, passing showers, tides and sea moderate, rain 38pts.; Arthur’s Pass: N.W. light wind, raining; Christchurch: Light easterly wind, blue sky; Dunedin: Calm, blue suy, tides high. , WEATHER FORECAST. “The indications are for variable and strong breezes, but southerly strong winds to gale prevailing after about 20 hours. Weather probably cold and changeable with rain, and snow in high country., Barometer unsteady, but rising shortly. Sea considerable on coast and increasing, and tides good.”
