INSURANCE RISK ESTIMATES

(Australian & N.Z. Cable Assn.) (By- Cable —Press Assn. —Copyrignt./

LONDON, May 15

The “Daily Express” states that the Motor Car Insurance Offices have agreed that premiums must be raised. Not desiring to make good drivers pay lor bud by a. flat rate increase, the Offices are considering a scheme of charging extra premiums on classes of cars, which the accident statistics show are the worst risks. The worst drivers are Air Force Officers. They seem to lack discretion and sense of speed values, but they are closely followed by all actors, actresses and bookmakers. Good risks include doctors, naval officers, journalises, and shop-keepers. The accident figures show that women drivers are. twelve per cent, worse risk than men. Large cars are always more carefully driven than small.
