Steps are being taken to form a company in conjunction with the New Zealand Picture Supplies Company to erect at Nelson an up-to-date theatre with accommodation for about 1200 people. The entrance to the theatre will be from Trafalgar Street (adjoining the Central Hotel). In addition to being a picture theatre the building is to be suitable for staging the large theatrical shows which tour the Dominion.
