OPERA’ HOUSE. Bebe Daniels did not have to worry about being cheated of the exercise she derived from a daily visit to the Sunset Canyon Golf Club during the filming of “The Splendid Crime,” her latest starring vehicle for Paramount, screening at the Opera House tonight. SATURDAY. Swinging along in his rollicking comedy-melodrama, with another crackerjack story to back up the great popularity of rider and horse, Fred Thomson and Silver King climb to a new height of merriment, speed and suspense in “The Bandit’s Baby,” which comes to the Opera House Saturday, matinee and night. Ten episodes, each more exciting than its predecessor, is said to describe “The Ace of Spades,” a new serial in adventure pictures released through Universal, which is coming to the Opera House on Saturday at the matinee and again at night, with William Desmond as the star. GRAND BALL. The newly-formed United Ladies’ Hockey Club are holding their first ball at the United Pavilion on Wednesday next. First-class music will be- supplied by the Blaketown Orchestra and a good supper will be provided. Novelty dances and lucky onesteps are included in the programme. Balloons and soft drinks will be on sale.
