WAIROV WORKS (Per Press Association.) WAIROA, Dec. 1. The Wairoa Meat Company’s works opened this morning. No union slaughtermen applied for work and the board was manned with free labour. Ample labour was offering. The Company has a substantial waiting list of those wanting to come on as soon, as supplies of stock are more plentiful. Thb'season opened a fortnight earlier than at last year. This will allow the men to become proficient before the heavy rush of stock.
