(Our Own Correspondent.) HOKITIKA, Nov. 30. Bishop Brodie and Rev. Dean ■ Lightheart, who have been in Hokitika. to make an appeal on behalf nf the Maori Missions, left by car this morning en route for Arthur’s Pass, where they caught the express for Christchurch. Miss K. Foser, of Christchurch, and formerly of Hokitika, who was here on a few days’ visit to her relatives, left by this morning’s express for Christchurch. Next Tuesday evening a juvenile concert will be held in the Princess Theatre in aid of the All Saints Memorial Church. Preparations have been well in hand for th:; past few months, and the programme, which is of a varied nature, shou’d be very entertaining. To-morrow night a concert and ball will be h;ld in the Public Hall, Kanieri, in aid of the Kanieri Tennis Club. .4 complete programme has been arranged, and the ball should be very successful, as the music is in the capable hands of Ross’s orchestra. The line weather of late, after the many weeks’ rain experienced,' has been very w-lcnme. People are taking the opp-;i (.unity of the fine days. The new Hokitika Savings Bankin Hamilton street is completed, and will be opened for business in the coming New Year. I
