NOTICE is hereby given that the Kumara Borough Council will, at a Special Meeting, to be held on -8, 1926, at 7.v0 p.m., MAkE and LEVY the following rates for .the year ending March 31, 1927: — A General Rate under Sec. 77 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” of two-pence in the £ on the rateable value on the Valuation Roll of all rateable property within the Borough of Kumara on the basis of capital value. A Charitable Aid Rate under Section 41 of “The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909,” of one penny in the, £ on the rateable value on the Valuation Roll of all rateable property within the Borough of Kumara on the basis of capital value, such rate being required to pay the contributions payable by the Kumara Borough Council to the Westland Hospital Board A Special Rate under Sec. 5 (4) of “The Local Bodies Finance Act, 1921-22,” of one penny in the £ on the rateable value on the Valuation Roll of all rateable property within the Borough of Kumara, on the basis of capital value, such rate being required to extinguish the Antecedent Liability (£429 8s Gd) as at March 31, 1922, and that it be an annually recurring rate until the said Antecedent • Liability is extinguished. Also that the above rates will be payable in one sum at the Town Clerk’s Office, Seddon Street, Kumara, on DECEMBER 23, 1926.
