— 1,1,,r> " ■ AUCKLAND WOOL SALES. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, November 26. The wool sales closed to-day, spirited bidding being maintained throughout. There was a very satisfactory clearance, about 95 per cent, being sold. The prices, compared with the tnree Southern sales, showed a. considerable advance. The Auckland clip offered at this sale represented the best quality presented to the buyers this season. The good clearance was largely due :to increased competition by the Continental buyers, as compared with the Southern operations. The majority of the growers will receive slightly less than they realised at. the corresponding sale last year. The values -for crossbreds were appreciably better than those recorded at the February. sale. Bellies, piececrutch jpgs and Jocks also made better prices than in February.' The top price was 20Jd paid yesterday for. a line of half bred. It was not equalled to-day. The next highest price was 19d paid for a line of quarterbred. BUTTER AND CHEESE.
