BOXING
TO-NIGHT AT TOWN HALL.
It will probably not be necessary, but, in case there are a few “absentminded beggars” in Greymouth, a final reminder is given that Salvino Jamito, of Manila, and Reg. Trowern, of Auckland, will do their best to put each other to sleep in the course of fifteen rounds —or less—at the Town Hall this evening. The contest should be one of the best ever seen in a Greymouth ring, as both boys have great records, and their middle names might both be Pug nacity. Trowern holds a points aecision over Jamito, and their second meeting was drawn. To-night, the rubber will be decided, and it appears likely that the honours will go to Trowern. He will have to put his best gloves forward to get there. The referee will be Air Arty Beban. to whom the Christchurch Association recently paid the compliment of asking him to officiate in the Cathedral City. The Millerton Association has also engaged Mr Beban as third man for its tournament on Saturday next. The amateurs will be represented at to-night’s session by _J. Nelson (Dominion welter champion) and L Scott, of Runanga. in on e bout, while W. Duggan, of Runanga, will be pitted against J. Scott, of Wai/uta, in the other.' Trains have been delayed, prices. are reasonable, and a packed house should result.
