LONDON, October 13. The League, football match, New Zealand against Bramley. attracted an attendance of 2000, as heavy rain fell in the morning, which was followed by wind and sunshine. The New Zealand team was as follows Gregory. Sanders, Parkes, Brisbane, Desmond, Tasker, Delgrosso, Henry, Devine. Herring, Mason, Avery and Gardiner. Braniley’s young players were no match lor their speedy opponents. The local team won the toss, and the visitors started with the sun and wind in their faces.
Harrison opened the scoring by getting a try for Bramley, Robinson converting it Give and take play then prevailed for a time. Then Avery and Brown each crossed the home line twice. Onlv one of the tries was converted. The visitors led at half time by 14 to 7. The New Zealanders controlled the game in the second spell, though occar sionally Bramley showed up well, and they twice Crossed their opponents’ line. Harrison scoring and Powell converting. . The visitors’ scorers in the second half were Parkes and Desmond, who got tv.o tries each, and Sanders (one try). while Delsrosso, Gardiner and Gregory were responsible for the goals.
