DUKE’S TOUR
ARRANGING THE PROGRAMME
(Australian and N.Z. Cable Association,
LONDON, October 14
It is learned that when the King granted an audience to Mr. Bruce, His Majesty showed the keenest interest in the Duke of York's forthcoming tour of Australia.
He expressed pleasure at the invitation, recalling his own and the Prince of Wales’ tours of Australia and New Zealand. He gave close attention to the details of the Duke of York’s proposed itinerary. Mr. Bruce will probably discuss the programme with the Duke and Duchess of York to-morrow, and it is understood that it will be published at the end of the week, after consultation with Mr. J. G. Coates, the New Zealand Premier, -who arrives on Friday
