WEST COAST SHOW. Entries are coming in well for. the forthcoming show on February 17 and 18, space lias been applied for for business displays, suitable tram arrangements with excursion rates, have been made, and prospects for Ulis, the fourth annual show of the Association, are very bright. Those who excel in the culinary department, will find an opportunity to display their wares in the domestic section. A special prize of £1 Is is offered for the exhibitor gaining most points in the section. The produce section affords scope for the gardener to- show what he can grow in the shape of vegetables and field produce. Good special prizes are offered for competition in this section. Many and valuable special prizes are offered in the stock sections, and it is expected that the local entries in these sections will be worthy of the Coast, and will be the v/itiiess of the suitability of the, Coast for stock raising of all classes. Sports are provided on both days, and a well varied and interesting programme has been drawn up. The one idea underlying the show is to boom the Coast by showing what it can produce —ocular demonstration is the best proof. Get a schedule from Q.‘ H. Rose, secretary, P.O. Box 171, Greymouth, also an entry form which fill in and return to him by February 3rd, the date for closing entries. Boom your district by exhibiting at the show. INANGAHUA ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Inangahua A. and P. Associatidn was held at the secretary’s rooms last evening, Mr W. 1. Begg in the chair. In reply to a letter from the Nelson A. and P. Association asking that a delegate be sent to the annual meeting to elect delegates for the Dairy Association, it was decided to leave this matter in the hands of the president and secretary. It was decided to write to the Grey Valley Farmers’ Union and ask for a contribution to the Inangahua Association’s funds. The schedule as submitted, was amended and approved. Mr Hunt, Richmond, was appointed judge of cattle; Mr Jenkins, sheep and pigs; Mr C. Neville, dogs; Mr J. Berry,- horses; assistants, F. Keating and D. M. Robertson. Fruit and produce, R. Kettle; pastry and cooking, J. M. Robertson; flowers, Mrs Bush. It was decided to ask Mrs King to conduct the refreshment room similar to last year, and that the publican s booth and ice cream stall be sold by tender. A donation. of 10s was given for pen of freezing lambs and 10s 6d for fat lambs.
