Send in at once for a schedule and special prize list, and ’’give it a go.” In assisting to make the Show a big success, every entrant is assisting to advertise the “district. Now that the Otira Tunnel is opened it is the time to attract the attention ’ of the outsiders to the farming products ,of the West Coast, and so bring to their notice the latent possibilities and potential value of the Coast, as a big farming district. What is .wanted is closer settlement, so that the larger holdings will be divided up, and a new fillip given to developing the West Coast lands, by more young, virile farmers coming and settling over here. The Show schedule caters for everything that is of interest to farmers, not only from a utilitarian point of view, but also from the aesthetic and beautiful sense, for, besides the sections for stock, horses, cattle, sheep, pigs and dogs, there are sections for domestic industries, cookery, etc., flowers, produce, art, decorative articles, fancy work, and lastly, there is .an excel tout sports programme provided for both days. The prize list is, a topnotcher, both from the number and excellence of the prizes.
