PROMOTION-OF OFFICERS.
(Per Press Association.) ■ ■!. ■ WELLINGTON, October 22. A -number of promotions in the Land sand Survey Department are announced. ("Two of them are incidental to the’creation ’ of new-positions m the head office. W; Robertson, formerly departmental, inspector, ’has been appointed Assistant-Under-Secretary. J. H. ! ’O’Donnell, Chief Accountant, has been created Controller of Accounts and Land Revenue. J. R. MacCormick, Senior Clerk in the Head' , Officei has been appointed Chief j Clerk, vice W. R. - Jourdain, retired. S. Gambrill succeeds McCormick as Senior Clerk. J. ,F. Quinn, Assistant Accountant, Head Office- Iras been appointed in-, spector, and W> Shaw, Accountant at Christchurch, succeeds Mr Quinn at the Head Office. T. Tudehope, Chief Olerk and Receiver of Land Revenue at New Plymouth, has been promoted to jne same position at Auckland. A. Redman, Senior Clerk at Auckland, succeeds Mr' Tudehope. '
