ASHBURTON. June 13.

Three furlongs from home the field closed qp> and as heads were turned for home straight the colours of Man o’ War, Logan Chief, Onyx and Sheik were most prominent. Half-way down the straight the final issue looked to rest between Logan Chief and Acron, but Man o’ War responded gamely under pressure and defeated Logan Chief by a. neck, with Acron a head away third. Sheik was fourth, followed by Realm, Onyx and Ahuriri. Man o’ 'War retivrnod his supporters it

dividend of over a quarter of a century.
