The Waimea is due on Sunday from Picton direct to load timber for Nelson and Wanganui. The Orepuki leaves Wellington, to-day for Nelson and Coast with general cargo. The Regulus is due to-morrow night from Wellington via way ports with general cargo.

FREIGHT RATES INCREASED (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) MELBOURNE, May 8. The inter-State Shipping Companies announce an increase in freight between mainland ports, by 2/- to 3/- per ton' on all cargo shipped after May 18. The reason for the increase is that inter-State tirade for sometime has been unremunerative. TREBARTHA RE-FLOATED. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) ‘ SYDNEY, May 8.
