EXAM TRAGEDY
BOMBS AND REVOLVERS USED.
(Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) WARSAW, May 7. An amazing tragedy was enacted in the examination room of a'’college at Vilna, where a youth, who failed in a previous examination, produced a revolver and fired at the Principal. Other students, seized the assailant. One youth, in trying to shield the Principal, was killed, * . The assailant, then threw a hand grenade, the explosion killing himself and another, and wounding ten .persons. Before the panic subsided} , a second youth threw a bomb, after firing a revolver at the Professor, killing one. Then he committed suicide. The Principal was severely wounded. It is believed the attack was due to revenge, on account 61 the Principal’s alleged severity.
