AERIAL TRAGEDY

During the Agricultural Show at Orange, an aeroplane owned and piloted by’ Thomas Lynn,' 'a well- | ■ known-and experienced aviator, carrying a woman passenger, believed to be named Brown, passed over the ground. When at an altitude of'-. about one hundred and fifty feet,, it went into a spiral action, but took, a, sudden nose 1 dive and crashed, striking the ground with terrific force and bursting into flames. ' When the onlookers, numbering hundreds, reached the scene,' Lynn was dead. The woman 1 was ! ‘alive,, but before she could be extricated was burned to death. In connection with the aeroplane smash, prior to leaving the aerodrome, Lynn, who had been in indifferent health for some time, expressed a wish that a friend, whp had frequently driven the plane, would give it a flight as he did not feel fit forjtlie job. The friend refused, and Lynn said that (he would try his luck. i The friend later said that Lynn’s nerve! seemed to'have gone lately; He was always complaining of heart trouble.;
