NOTICE TO STRIKE RATES. jVOTICE is ' hereby given that the *• ’ above Council will, at a SPECIAL MEETING, to be held at the Council Chambers on WEDNESDAY, Sept. 24, 1924, at 7.30 p.m., make and levy the following Rates for the year, commencing the Ist of April, 1924, and ending the 31st March, 1925 : — 1. A General Rate of 2d in the £. 2. A Special Rate of Id in the £, under .Section 5 (4) “Local Bodies Finance Act, 1921-22.” Such rate being required to extinguish the Antecedent Liability (£429 8s 6d), as at March 31, 1922. Making in all 3d in the £ on .all the Rateable Property in the Kumara Borough, on the basis of tht Capital Value; and that the above rate will be due and payable in, one instalment at the Town Clerk’s Office, Seddon St., Kumara, on the Bth dav of OCTOBER, 1924. .
