LADIES’ CHAMPIONSHIP.

WANGANUI, September 11.

The ladies’.,golf tournament vqas continued to-day in fine weather. Hie results of the second round of the championship were:— Mrs , Grace (Wanganui) beat Miss Brandon (Wellington) ’by a Mi’ss Orbell (Oamaru) beat Miss Cook (Dunedin) two and one. Mrs. Coljinson i (Palmerston’ North) beat Miss Gambrill (Wellington)'two and one. «

Miss Bell (Wellington) beat Miss Lucas (Nelson) four and two. In the Second Medal Handicap, the senior winner was Miss Brewster, 96-16-79, and the junior winner was Miss Montgomery Moore, 108-30-78. The best gross score was by Miss Gambrill, 91. Four Ball Match: Mrs Hunter and Mrs Woollams, four up. Putting: Miss Brandon. CHALLENGE MATCH. , A. . challenge,, match wijl be played during the week-end against a visiting team from the Westport Club.
