PRINCE OF WALES

VISIT TO UNITED STATES. vuitralian and N.Z. Cable Assoeiabiu: NEW YORK, July 7. The “New York Times’s” Washington correspondent learns that the Prince of Wales, travelling incognito as Baron Renfrew, is expected to come to the United States to. attend the polo matches early in September between America and Britain. The Prince, though himself an ardent player, will not participate in any official matches, but he expects to join the preliminary practice matches, wherein his countrymen will compete. The Prince’s visit to the United States will consume a fortnight, after which he will probably return to his ‘ranch in Canada. The suggestion for the Prince’s visit came in a letter from Mr Le Stoddart (chairman of the Polo Association) to Captain Frederick Guest, a member of the Prince’s entourage, who replied that the Prince would probably enthusiastically accept an official'Ll vitation, which was forthwith despatched.
