displeased that he went straight Io a prominent punter and hit him on Ihe nose which was broken in two places. Dowridge was brought before the Stewards and admitted the attack. He explained that he thought the punter had “livened’’ the horse on him. He admitted that he told the jockey not to- knock the horse about. The inquiry was adjourned Friday.
