FILM STARS FLEE-. iAustralian and N.Z Cable Association.) NEW YORK, July 23. A telegram from Los Angeles states that two severe earthquake shocks startled the city early this morning. They lasted six seconds and threw pedestrians off their feet and cracked walls, but no injuries or serious damage has been reported. Many wellknown film stars fled from their homes at Hollywood, where the shocks were particularly felt.
