WEST COAST EXECUTIVE. The ordinary meeting of the West Coast Rugby Union was held last evening; present —Air J. E., AVilson (chairman), Alqssi's J. Guy, T. AfcJntosh, Al. Keating, N. Jones, G. E. Perkins, J. Fairbairn, and Captain' F. AV. Cox. It was decided in regard to the selection of the teams for the North v. South Island match, that the necessary matter should be forwarded to AVellington not later than July 10. A letter was received from the King Country Union requesting the. co-oper-ation of the West Coast Union in the matter of approaching the Minister of Internal Affairs, asking him to endeavour to have extended to the whole Dominion the right to charge 2/- entrance to matches in private, domains, in place, of the present maximum of Two players in the senior match last Saturday were cautioned for rough pliiyA match was set down to be played next Saturday afternoon between Te Kinga and a senior grade team. With reference to training of both of the representative teams, it was decided that members be called together in the Star shed to-morrow night at 7 o’clock. The Robert Russell Cup has been presented to the Union for competition between the junior teams. It was decided that the Cup . become, the
property of the club winning it for four seasons. A vote of thanks was passed to Mis Russell for her present to the Union. The following officials were appointed for the Rep. team to play Westland next Saturday in Hokitika: Captain, N. Alouatt, and manager, Mr J. 1L Wilson. , „ n It was decided that 17 players should be sent. Air “Teddy” Roberts is to be invited to come to the Coast for the purpose of coaching the Coast Repsin preparation for the Seddon Shield match. FIXTURES. Representative match.
