SEASIDE FIRE
20,000 HOMELESS. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) NEW YORK, June 16. A wind whipped up a fire at the seaside" resort of Averne at Long Island, near the city, and burned 400 buildings, including many hotels. Sixty persons were injured, and 20,000 are left temporarily homeless The fire razed half a square mile and did damage to the extent of 4,000,00 1 dollars
