TEACHERS’ LOYALTY
CANTERBURY’S CLEAN SHEET (Special to tho Star.) CHRISTCHURCH. April 5. From what, can be gathered, the school teachers of Canterbury, whether in public or private schools, have subscribed to the oath of allegiance. A reporter was informed that the 1259 teachers employed by the Canterbury Education Board had complied with the request of the Government. The reporter got into touch with St. Bede’s Colleke, Christ’s College. Christchurch Technical College, Boys’ and Girls’ Brill School, and St. Andrews College. In each case the authorities stated that there were no defaulters.
